If you’re a fan of yummy chocolate, sweet coconut, and tasty almonds, you’re probably also a fan of Almond Joy chocolate bars. This decadent treat is a popular one, and for good reason!
Here at Roasty Coffee, we’re also fans of the scrumptious candy, as we even have a recipe for an Almond Joy latte. This fan-favorite flavor has made an appearance in many coffee beverages, including coffee creamer.
That’s why I thought I’d add another Almond Joy coffee recipe to our books, this time in the form of a delicious coffee creamer.
An ode to a mocha latte, this recipe is super easy, simply delicious, and works well no matter how you choose to drink your cup of morning brew.
What is Almond Joy Coffee Creamer?
While the Almond Joy candy bar is pretty tasty on its own, chocolate lovers will be pleased to know that coffee creamer brands such as International Delight have come out with an Almond Joy flavor!
There’s nothing better than a fresh cup of coffee, except of course for when that caffeinated brew has a dash of chocolatey goodness. Unfortunately, you might not always be able to find an Almond Joy coffee creamer at your local supermarket.
All is fine and well though, as this coffee creamer recipe I have right here is full of all things Almond Joy to give your favorite coffee beverage a nice warm touch, or even a refreshing kick!
How to Make Almond Joy Coffee Creamer
So, without further ado, here is the Almond Joy coffee creamer recipe that you’ve been waiting for. Or, if you haven’t, you’re in for a scrumptious surprise!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup of sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1/4 teaspoon of almond extract
- 1/4 teaspoon of coconut extract
- sealable airtight container
Process:
Step One:
First, you want to put the sweetened condensed milk in a small bowl and add the cocoa powder to it.
Using a whisk or fork, stir the ingredients together until they’re thoroughly combined.
Step Two:
Next, pour the chocolate mixture into the sealable container. I used a mason jar for this recipe to allow for better shaking and storing.
Step Three:
Now add the milk to the container. I used whole milk, but you’re welcome to use whatever type of milk you prefer.
Step Four:
Finally, add the almond and coconut extracts to the container. Close it up and shake it until thoroughly mixed together.
Now you have your very own Almond Joy coffee creamer to use in your favorite coffee!
Some Tips and Tricks
Once I made my creamer, I decided to add a bit of it to some espresso. While this would be good on its own, I took it a step further by adding some ice.
The great thing about this Almond Joy coffee creamer is that it tastes delightful in either warm or cold coffee beverages.
It was dark and simply sweet with the coconut, almond, and chocolate flavors. This recipe would work great as a replacement for regular mocha in lattes.
Another decadent idea would be to steam up a bit of this creamer before adding it to your favorite drip coffee.
Just remember that this coffee creamer is good for up to one week in the refrigerator and it’s important you shake it up before every use in order to get the full flavor effects.
