With all the creaminess you’d want in a latte and the nutty flavor you expect from its namesake tree nut, the warm and comforting pistachio latte proved itself to be a valuable (and delicious) addition to the company’s menu.
WHAT IS THE PISTACHIO LATTE MADE OF?
If you’re an experienced coffee drinker, then you know what makes a latte: espresso and steamed milk. And just as you’d expect, these two key players show up when you’re making this particular cup of coffee, joined by pistachio sauce and salted brown butter cookie flavored topping…at least, they are at Starbucks, anyway.
The homemade version we’re showing you how to make below uses a few different ingredients than the ones used at Starbucks coffee shops, but it still boasts the sweet pistachio taste you’re looking for. And the best part is, you don’t even have to wait in a long line to get it!
MAKE A COPYCAT STARBUCKS PISTACHIO LATTE: A HOW-TO GUIDE
YOU’LL NEED:
- 2 shots espresso
- 1/2 cup pistachio milk
- 1 teaspoon pistachio syrup
- 2 teaspoons honey
- chopped pistachios
THE PROCESS:
Step 1:
The first step to enjoying a delicious pistachio latte is to prepare your strong coffee. Use your espresso machine to pull two shots, and pour them into a mug or tall glass. Then, you’ll need to stir the pistachio-flavored syrup and sweet honey into the brew.
Step 2:
Use your at-home brewer’s built-in steaming wand to get half a cup of steamed milk. While some other recipes call for a milk of your choice (like whole or nut milk), we opted to include fresh pistachio milk on our list of ingredients to bring more of the popular nut’s cozy flavors to the latte.
Step 3:
Mix the freshly steamed milk with the double shot of espresso, and top off the perfect pistachio latte with a few chopped or ground pistachios.

Creamy Pistachio Latte
A delicious and tasty nutty latte that has everything you could want. Drink this creamy coffee drink on a fall afternoon or at your favorite cafe!
Ingredients
- 2 shots of espresso
- ½ cup of pistachio milk
- 1 teaspoon pistachio syrup
- 2 teaspoons honey
Instructions
- Combine espresso with pistachio syrup and honey.
- Steam milk until frothy and pour over espresso.
- Serve garnished with chopped pistachios!
